While this tool does exactly as it says it does, there is still a lot of pineapple left inside the shell after pulling out the slices. I took a large spoon and scraped the sides and got quite a bit of pulp and juice. Maybe my pineapple was larger than normal, which might account for the extra pulp.

Also, once I pulled out the sliced pineapple (it will be one long continuous spiral), I realized that I needed to remove the handle in order to slide the whole thing off the tube.

This is a quick and easy tool, and I recommend it for that, and the shell can be then used to fill with punch or any other party drink for a fun piece of your buffet.

I saw this gadget the first time during my vacation in Puerto Penasco. I was so excited that I immediately ordered that Steel Pinnacle Easy (!!!!!) Slicer. I was excited to try it myself after watching the Mexican guy preparing my Pinacolada where the hollowed out pineapple served as the bowl for my pinacolada! It's so easy that I can slice that pineapple even with my arthritis - not much muscle power required at all! Try it for yourself!

WOW. I love this thing!!! No muss no fuss. Perfect ringlets of pineapple. NO digging out the little 'eyes' or sticky clean up. I wish I'd bought this years ago. The empty shell makes a great vase too. Just add a small glass inside, add water and flowers! Put in the middle of a large flat pan and put fruit around it. Looks lovely!

I try to stay away from single use kitchen gadgets but this thing is so easy, and maybe a little fun, to use that I'm not angry at myself for buying it. We enjoy eating pineapple and prefer to get the entire fruit because it's a better price. However, neither myself nor my husband really enjoyed the task of cutting up the pineapple. We always felt like we ended up wasting so much of the fruit and making a mess in the process. This little gadget shaves minutes off our pineapple cutting time and with very little mess.

I LOVE this pineapple corer! I would often purchase pineapple's only to watch them rot in my kitchen because I was too lazy or too busy to cut the pineapple up, which is not my favorite chore. But I love pineapple, so I decided to try this corer out. It works flawlessly!!! I have carpel tunnel in my wrists and was able to turn the corer easily. Now I will have fresh pineapple more often!

Honestly? I wasn't expecting much for this product but since it was so affordable, I decided to try it out. I am so HAPPY that I did so! This thing works so well! I have arthritis and hand weakness along with fibromyalgia which comes with general muscle weakness. This product peeled, cut and sliced my fresh pineapple with minimal effort on my part.

I was nervous buying this because I've heard many people say that they don't work good or just break. That is not the case with this one! I've only used it once but it only took me maybe 2-3 minutes to cut my pineapple. I stopped buying pineapples because it was such a hassle to core them and cut it up but this makes it so much easier! My only complaint is to make sure you keep it straight all the way down the pineapple. I went a little crooked and got some hard edges of the core on one side of mine.

This is one of those rare kitchen gadgets that works just as well in real life as does in commercials, with the added bonus of actually doing something that you can't just as easily do without it. I've cut up a lot of pineapples over the years and its a messy, sticky job. Ripe pineapples are full of juice, and every cut you make releases more and more of it. The juice channels in cutting boards can't hold it all; I have to set the board on newspapers or a towel to catch the overflow. The most unexpected and helpful feature of this pineapple slicer is that the hollowed-out shell holds all of that extra juice! That alone would make it worth the money, but its also extremely easy to use and very effective at getting all of the fruit and leaving the core and skin behind.

Absolutely fantastic! I've been growing my own pineapples at home for several years. It's always been a chore to carve off the rind. Sometimes carving too shallow, other times too deep. Now I simply cut the top off the pineapple, center the tool, twist until it hits bottom, pull out the plug, remove the handle from the tool, invert the plug, and pineapple slinky slides off.

I love kitchen gadgets, but too many of them are disappointing. Not this one. Whoot! To peel, core, and slice pineapple takes several minutes and is extremely messy. Using this peeler/corer the job takes less than 30 seconds a produces a series of juicy pineapple circles perfect for serving as is or as a garnish on ham or salads. No mess - the extra juice stays put, and there is less waste than when peeling/coring manually.
